This guide will show you how to setup your email on your iPhone / iPad Devices.
Note: In this article where USERNAME is written this is your full email address. Before you start, please unlock your device and go to the home screen.
- Open "Settings"
- Scroll down and tap on MAIL, CONTACTS AND CALENDARS
- Tap on "Add Account"
- Scroll down and tap "Other"
- Tap on "Add Mail Account"
- Under Name you can put your full name i.e John Paul
Email: your full email address
Password: your password that was setup in Plesk or cPanel - Description: Anything (when you put in your email, by default this will be automaticlly filled)
- Click on Next (up the top) then it will take 10 seconds to look up account info.
On the next screen (once loaded), please do the following:
Incoming Mail Server - Hostname: mail.yourdomainname.com.au
- Username: your full email address
- Password: your password that was setup in cPanel or Plesk
Repeat for Outgoing Mail Server
- Mail On
- Notes Off
Click on Save (up the top). Then it may take upto 1 minute to add an account. If you get a certificate warning, PLEASE PRESS CONTINUE. After this, you will arrive back at MAIL, CONTACTS AND CALENDARS
*YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING OTHERWISE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SEND MAIL*
- CLICK ON your new account which was added.
- Click on Account your full email address
- SCROLL down to SMTP and TAP SMTP (mail.yourdomainname.com.au)
- Tap primary server (mail.yourdomainname.com.au On)
- Make sure SSL is ON
- Authentication is Password and;
- Server port is 465
- Click on Done (up the top of screen)
- Then press account (up the top of screen)
The last thing you need to do is the following:
- Tap on advanced (Scroll down to bottom of screen)
- Scroll down to incoming Settings
- Turn on SSL
Authentication is password - Then click on Account
You can now click on Done (up the top) and you should be able to send and recieve your email.
